This tool provides a simplified ELO-based preliminary calculation for USCF rating changes. The official USCF system may include Glicko-based calculations, bonus points, rating floors, and special evaluation rules. As a result, the value shown in this tool may differ from the official USCF record.
For players without a USCF rating, the tool calculates an estimated initial rating using results against rated opponents throughout the tournament: R = Opponent Average + ((Wins − Losses) / Games) × 400. This calculation requires at least 4 games. The official starting rating is determined by US Chess rules on valid game count, provisional rating, bonuses, and other evaluation criteria.

Simplified K factors used in this tool: K=32 for players rated below 2100, K=24 for 2100–2400, and K=16 for players rated 2400 and above. The official USCF system applies different coefficients based on effective game count and special formulas.
