About This Calculator

This calculator uses the AICF rating formula of the All India Chess Federation. The AICF follows the FIDE ELO rating system for its calculations.

For Players Without AICF

If you don't have an AICF rating, the system can use estimated starting / performance value calculation logic based on rated opponents and match results. Official federation systems may include additional rules for new or unrated players. Therefore, results are approximate only.

How AICF Rating Works

Expected Score:

E = 1 / (1 + 10^((Rb - Ra) / 400))

New Rating:

R'a = Ra + K × (S - E)

AICF follows FIDE standards: K=40 for new players (under 30 games), K=20 for players rated below 2400, and K=10 for players rated 2400+.
